Legionella risk assessments and remedial work
Polkadot are now offering Legionella Risk Assessments and water treatment services.
Risk of water contamination due to buildings being unoccupied/empty over lockdown period:
- If water has been sitting in pipework, tanks and vessels for a significant period of time then there is a risk Legionella bactieria developing in the water
- If water is left stored in pipework, tanks and vessels for more than 30 days, they should be cleaned or flushed.
- If you are unsure then it is advisable to get a Legionella Risk Assessment before reopening the premises
- We can provide the Risk Assessment as well as any follow on treatment needed
