𝟏. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫

– Look out for leaks, signs of mildew, or rust. Also, don’t forget to check the pressure – if it’s dropped or is too high, your system won’t be running efficiently.

𝟐. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐬

– Look for cracks or leaks in any exposed piping. It’s much easier to repair than if it’s left to burst!

𝟑. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬

– Cold snaps can cause issues and strains with brackets, joints, and joists, making them less resilient. Check under your sink and any other indoor piping to make sure no fittings are loose, and nothing is leaking.

𝟒. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬

– During winter, outdoor drains can become blocked with debris and sludge washed in by the rain. If you’ve noticed your sink or appliances are taking longer than usual to drain, or you can hear glugging noises when water runs down the drain, your outdoor drain may be blocked.
